Salt Lake Magazine this month named Utah Lake a best-pick for outdoor attractions in Utah Valley.
“Wherever you are on the spectrum from indoorsy to outdoorsy, get out and enjoy what’s left of Utah’s incredible summer season,” writes Madeleine Brown, who described Utah Lake as “a huge freshwater lake perfect for boating, fishing, windsurfing, birding and sailing.” Brown also mentioned the paddle-board, kayak, and canoe promotion taking place at the Lindon Marina.
Obviously, it’s always nice to be recognized. That never gets old. But I felt a pang after reading, “what’s left of Utah’s incredible summer season.” Even though I like Autumn as much as summer — at least that’s what I tell myself — it always stings a little to realize that summer’s drawing to a close. It always comes sooner than expected. And with each year of life, it comes even sooner.
So, here’s to finishing the summer strong, Utah Lake readers. I hope you enjoy at least a few more weeks of summer weather. And I hope you’ll remember us when the weather chills as it always seems to do in late September, early October.
