Saratoga Springs City Marina is Now Open!

The City of Saratoga Springs wants to help clean and optimize the conditions of the marina. All these efforts are made to provide a better quality of the marina to the public and to preserve this amazing water resource.

Here’s a few photos of what the marina looks like now, and then there are a few of what it looked like BEFORE the dredge.

In the beginning the dredging works focused only inside the marina due to the spawning of the endangered June Sucker, which typically happens between April 10th to June 19th says Owen Jackson, Assistant City Manager of Saratoga Springs.

After June 19th the dredging works continued outside the marina.

Last year’s 26-year low water at Utah Lake left the Saratoga Springs City Marina high and dry. Most marinas were mostly inaccessible by mid-summer.

As a proactive city, Saratoga Springs decided to dredge 3-4 feet off the bottom of their marina to allow for improved access in the future even those low water years like 2016. Efforts have been made to improve the quality of the marine and optimize its recreational value. The total dredging cost of the marina is $488,600.

In the future, the city hopes to bring a concessionaire to handle rentals of water sport equipment. The city plans to expand the marina and add more boat slips and a Sandy beach too.

For the moment the Marina Park has available the following:

  •  6 small pavilions
  •  1 large pavilion
  •  13 park tables
  • Restrooms
  • Drinking fountain
  • Outside showers
  • Fish cleaning station
  • Boat ramp
  • 3 floating docks
  • Walkways
  • Sandy beach area
  • Open grass areas
  • Fire pits
  • BBQ Grills

This year Saratoga Springs is celebrating its 20th year as a City.

This beautiful city is one of the fastest growing in population in Utah. According to 2010 Census the growth over the last 10 years in Saratoga Springs was just under 18,000 residents. Today is the home of approximately 30,000 residents.

  1. Hello,

My name is Tucker Miller and I am with unsalted no sharks®.
We are apparel with purpose to promote our cause for clean water everywhere; 10% of our profits are donated to clean water initiatives. Our product is trademarked, registered and offered to you with proven sales.

I was looking to speak with someone on how we can make Lake Utah unsalted!

Since 2011 we’ve had great success selling the Lake Michigan – unsalted no sharks® gear out of our brick and mortar shops. Three years ago we began selling wholesale to a handful retailers in the midwest, with one design, Lake Michigan unsalted no sharks®. Since that time, we have expanded our offering, and have partnered with lake community shops, boutiques & marinas, providing them with customized apparel designed specifically to represent 40+ different lakes in CT, NH, NY, SC, NC, GA, KY, AZ, TX, IL, MI, IN, OH & WI. We are currently at 100% acceptance with our face to face cold call prospects and 99% re-orders with our wholesale clients; our customers love our line, as it represents what they love; their lake.

If interested, I would like to send over our look-book, life style pictures, and a digital proof of our different back options.

  2. Please could the unsightly black plastic/material that lies around the Saratoga Springs Marina be removed.

    • Wendy,

Thanks for commenting and thank you for reporting to us. We will reach out shortly.

  3. My name is Scott Epperly and I am trying to find information about purchasing a slip or dry dock for my two wave runners for the summer of 2022. Do you have information about the availability of this at Saratoga Springs Marina? We recently moved to Cottonwood Heights and I would prefer not to haul my skis back and forth repeatedly.
