I’ve already profiled lake users who have ice biked, swum across, and run across Utah Lake. But did you know that annually for the past 28 years, thousands have ridden their bikes around the the entire lake, which is 13 miles wide and 24 miles tall?
Well now you do. It’s called ULCER, which is short for Utah Lake Century Epic Ride. This year, the timed 111 mile racing is taking place on Saturday, August 4. There’s also a shortened 30 and 60 mile course for those wanting to work their way up to the full Monty. Either way, it’s a beautiful way to immerse yourself into the area and get to know the lake on a very personal level.
