The Utah Lake Commission is in need of an Outreach Intern. This is a full-time, paid position that is based out of the Utah Lake Commission office in Provo, UT. Internship will begin April 24, 2018 and end July 14, 2018 (start and end dates are flexible, if needed).

The following are responsibilities of this position:
- Optimize social media accounts for Utah Lake
- Develop public relations campaign for the lake
- Assist with blog posts, a monthly newsletter, and other written publications
- Oversee and grow the Utah Lake “Adopt-a-Shoreline” program
- Coordinate with volunteers for various projects around the lake
- Assist with planning the annual Utah Lake Festival
- Assist with planning and implementation of 4th grade field trips at Utah Lake
- Assist in applying for and tracking grants for lake projects
- Assist with general office duties
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Be working towards a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Preferably in the fields of: Communications, Recreation, Event Planning, Marketing, Public Relations or similar.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Be comfortable working outdoors on several occasions throughout the internship
- Be physically capable of standing for several hours at a time
- US citizenship or lawful permanent residency
- A valid driver’s license
- Be able to type at least 60 WPM
- Be competent in Microsoft Office
