Sam Braegger

Sam serves as the Deputy Director of the ULA. He oversees agency operations and is passionate about working with all interests to protect and enhance Utah Lake. He worked for the Utah Lake Commission as an Outreach Coordinator and then Programs Manager for a total of 7 years. With a Bachelor’s in Recreation Management at BYU, Sam has received his Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification. He has also achieved various other certifications in marketing and public relations.

He has a variety of recreation experience. This ranges from a summer spent as an intern with the Orem Owlz minor league baseball team to being a restaurant general manager to interning in Alaska. Sam has lived in Utah most of his life and loves the recreation opportunities available, especially hiking and camping. His favorite part of working for the ULA is providing unique opportunities for the public to experience all that Utah Lake has to offer.

Sam oversees operations, human resources, project management, events, programs and volunteers.
