Alex Stosich

Alex is the restoration coordinator for Utah Lake, in a shared position between Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands and Utah Lake Authority. He has his master’s in ecology from Utah State University and has over eight years of experience in plant conservation and restoration work. He has worked with the federal government and environmental non-profits on a variety of projects, including native plant nursery production, rare plant surveys, invasive species management, and rare plant ecology research.
Alex works with partners and stakeholders to develop, implement, and guide cooperative efforts for the restoration and conservation of Utah Lake. His main focus is managing invasive plant species and native revegetation efforts. He loves to always be learning more about the complex ecology and management issues facing the lake and the broader watershed and working with others to improve the sustainable use and restoration of our natural resources.
